Cyril Norman EllenCyril's naval and RAF career spanned two World Wars. He also served in Iraq, Egypt and India, later transferring to the Technical Branch. His appointments in command included: No. 5 (AC) Squadron, No. 3 Electrical and Wireless School, No. 1 Signals School and No. 7 Radio School. Cyril's final appointment in the RAF was under the Control Commission for Germany (CCG) as the Assistant to the Deputy Chief of the Air Division in Berlin. After retirement, he continued to work under the CCG under the Foreign Offfice.
