Ann ANSLEY - (died 1728)

Ann ANSLEY was born some time during the 17th century and married Arthur Pitcher in All Saints Church, Newland, Gloucestershire, on 31st January 1686. The couple had seven known children between 1686 and 1700. The family surname has been recorded as Pitcher, Pichard and Pitchard in a number of different documents.

Ann lived with her family in various places near Newland, including Scatterford, Clearwell and Stow. However, Arthur died in 1708 and Ann later moved to Harthills Court, Hewelsfield, Gloucestershire. Her son, Arthur, also lived in Hewelsfield and this may have been the reason for her move.

Ann died in 1728, whilst still resident in Hewelsfield. Her body was brought back to Newland for burial on 3 August 1728, perhaps to lie with her husband.
