Biography and source notes for Lewis ASHBY
Lewis was born in Hadstock, Essex, in about 1841 and was the eldest son of Robert and Eliza Ashby.
He was baptized in the parish church of Hadstock on 31st October 1841. His father's profession was noted in the parish records as a labourer.
