Additional Information
JOHN FRYER:
Will: 17 AUG 1756, Proved on 24th December 1757 by Mary Fryer [John's widow]. 12
Residence: 17 JUN 1722, Arlingham, Gloucestershire 14
Residence: BEF 1 JAN 1757, Overton, Arlingham, Gloucestershire 15 16 17 18
Inheritance: 1711, The will of John's father, Richard Fryer (abt. 1663-1710). Will dated 1710. 23
Occupation: Yeoman 24 25 26
Administration of Estate: 27 MAY 1721, John administered the estate of his mother, Mary Fryer. 27
(01) Richard FRYER:
It is not known exactly when this particular Richard was born but he was the son of John FRYER of Overton. His father married Mary KING in 1722 and, as Richard died in about 1729, he probably died as an infant or a young boy.
(04) John FRYER:
Inheritance: 1757, The will of John's father, John Fryer (1695-1757), which included inheriting a silver cup. The will was dated 1756. 54
Occupation: Yeoman 55 56
As the eldest surviving son, John, a yeoman, inherited much of his father's estate and even more after the death of his mother as outlined in the will of his father (John FRYER 1695-1757). It appears that John did not marry and died in his 40's without issue, although there is some discrepancy about the year of his death. John was buried in the churchyard in Arlingham, in the same tomb as that of his parents.
(09) Hannah FRYER:
Alternative Name: Anna FRYER 74 75
Hannah/Anna FRYER'S headstone stands in St Mary the Virgin's Churchyard in Arlingham.
HUSBAND & WIFE NOTES: John FRYER and Mary (nee KING) were buried in a tomb in St Mary the Virgin's Churchyard in Arlingham with several other members of their family.
