    [Thomas made equal provision for his wife, Ann, and his 'daughter', Ann, who would have actually been his step-daughter and niece. He appointed his wife as his executrix and also his friends, Charles Tidmarsh and Thomas Thompson, both maltsters, as executors. A Trust was to be set up for his daughter until she reached the age of twenty-one to be looked after by his two male executors. All three executrix and executors were to be appointed 'Guardians and Curators' of his daughter during her minority. Thomas charged his Messuage, Tenement, Malthouse and premises at Barton Street in the Parish of St James in Bristol with the payment of two shillings and sixpence per annum towards the upkeep of his late father's tomb in the churchyard belonging to the Parish of St Augustine, Bristol.]
