A series of photographs of the Lower Struma in Greece during World War 1 believed to have been taken by Cyril Ellen when he was an Observer Sub-Lieutenant serving at Stavros.
Photograph by Harvey's Grandad to feature on German TV almost a century after it was taken - in 2016, a German television network got in touch and asked for permission to use Cyril's photo of the village of Kato Krusoves/Krusovo taken before its destruction.

The Quetta Earthquake of 1935 - Cyril was the Squadron Leader of No. 5 (AC) Squadron which was based at Quetta when the disaster struck. Gladys was awarded the Kaisar-i-Hind Silver Medal for her part in the rescue effort. Included is an excerpt from the RAF Operations Books giving an account of the earthquake.
